Bee-utiful Texture
I’ve love the Hexagon Dynamic Texture Embossing Folder since it was released and when I was designing this class I knew I had to use it.
I’ve teamed the embossing folder with some gold heat embossing – I suppose it’s a bit like double dipping – well double embossing at least.
It was hard to picture to gold in the embossing so had to angle it perfectly. I’m amazed I managed such a clear photo with my shaky hands!
How did she do that …
- I ran the tag through the Big Shot with the embossing folder after lightly spritzing the cardstock with water
- once embossed i used my versamark pad applied it direct to the embossing then sprinkled over embossing powder
- before heating I tapped off the excess powder and used a soft paintbrush to dab the powder so it would look uneven and speckly in places then heat set the gold powder.
The honeycomb stamp on the background was from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set. The sentiment and bees come from the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle.
I had so much fun making this card with all the texture and elements. So glad the ladies at class loved it too.
